This website, prefbuilders.com, is operated by Preferred Builders & Remodeling Inc. (“Preferred Builders,” “we,” “us”), a licensed general contractor (California License #1123883) located at 1828 S Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you send a consultation request or contact form, we collect the information you enter: your first and last name, phone number, email address, project address, the type of project and your message.
When you call, email, text or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, phone number and details about your home and project.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time of the visit.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited and how people scroll and click. Clarity uses cookies and similar technology and may record how you interact with the page. Microsoft’s privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
We use the Outbrain pixel to measure the results of our advertising. It uses cookies and similar technology to record visits to our website from Outbrain ads. Outbrain’s privacy policy, including how to opt out of interest-based ads, is at outbrain.com/privacy.
Some pages include an embedded Google Map. When the map loads, Google may collect information under its own policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your request, schedule consultations, prepare estimates, design plans, obtain permits, carry out and support your project, communicate with you about your project, improve our website and our advertising, keep business records, and meet our legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as needed to run our business and serve you:
With service providers that help us operate, such as our website host (Hostinger), our email service and the analytics and advertising tools described above. With architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and permitting agencies, when needed to design, permit and build your project. When required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
The Outbrain pixel lets Outbrain record visits to our website for ad measurement. Under California law this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described below.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our website works without them, although some features, such as embedded maps, may not load. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (see globalprivacycontrol.org).
WhatsApp, phone and email
If you contact us through the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp (owned by Meta) processes your messages under its own policy at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. By sending a form or giving us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your project. You can ask us to stop at any time.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services and support completed projects, and as required for tax, licensing, warranty and other legal or business record-keeping purposes. We then delete or anonymize it.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, such as secure (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to our website administration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request a copy of it; to ask us to correct or delete it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.

Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website links to other sites, such as Facebook, Yelp, Google and government permit offices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
